What age are your classes for?

STEAMpunks classes are currently aimed at children aged 3-5 years. This allows us to ensure that content is relevant to all the children attending. If your child is younger than 3 and you think they would enjoy the class, please get in touch and we can have a chat to see if it could work! Non-walking babies are welcome to come along at no charge.

How long are the classes?

Each class runs for 1 hour.

Do I need to book?

Classes MUST be booked in advance, this is to ensure I have enough resources prepared for all of the fun experiments! To book, please send me a message at Steampunksglasgow@outlook.com. I will respond to your email with availability and payment details.
 

How much are classes?

Each class is £8, this can be paid by bank transfer. Details will be in booking email.

Discounts - if you want to ensure your space for upcoming classes, you can book a block of 4 classes at a special rate of £7 per class (£28 for 4 week block). Keep an eye out on social media for mega-block booking offers!

Do parents/carers need to stay? (pre-school sessions)

Yes. An adult must attend the class with the child. However, an adult can be responsible for more than one child. This is for two reasons; firstly, we are insured as a parent\carer and child class and secondly, one of the main objectives in the class is to encourage scientific conversation and questioning between you and your child. Hopefully you will both get a lot from the class! There will also be biscuits……

Where are your classes held?

Friday classes are held at Woodhill Evangelical Church in Bishopbriggs. Please have a look at the services page for directions.

Will you be running any other classes?

I run holiday clubs for primary aged children. Information on these sessions is added to the Facebook and Instagram pages, so make sure you follow us! 

I would love to run more classes at other times of the week, possibly in different locations. If you are interested in attending a class but can’t make a Friday morning, please get in touch and, if there is enough interest, I can look into it!

How do I find out about nursery or primary school visits?

I would love to be able to offer bespoke lessons for your nursery or primary school. Whether you have a particular set of CfE outcomes you would like to cover or just want to chat about possibilities, please drop me a message at Steampunksglasgow@outlook.com. What happens if I need to cancel?

If you are no longer able to make the class you have booked in for, please let me know as soon as possible, as I may be able to offer your place to someone else. 

If you cancel within 24 hours of the class, I can either reschedule your booking or offer a refund. If you do not attend the booked class and give no notice, then no refund is available. This is due to cost of resources and preparation. 

What if the class is cancelled?

If I have to cancel the class for any reason, then I will endeavour to contact everyone on the booking list to inform them. Where possible, I will also post to social media accounts to let everyone know. If I have cancelled the class, you will be eligible for a refund or to reschedule your booking.
